About Sean Coll

With Sean Coll you get a former prosecutor with almost 20 years of criminal law experience and excellence fighting for you.

Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Sean graduated from the University of Arizona in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. While in Tucson, he worked as a writer and reporter for the local NBC affiliate news channel and the Arizona Daily Star. Sean ultimately decided the skills he developed as a journalist – investigating, writing, and knowing the right questions to ask – would be better applied in a legal career. While attending law school at Chapman University School of Law in Orange County, California, Sean realized quickly he had a flair for the courtroom. He was a member of the Chapman Mock Trial Team, where he competed in national competitions – including a first-place finish at an event in New Orleans. He graduated in 2008 with an emphasis in trial advocacy.

Sean received a job offer from the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office months before graduating law school and began his career there as a prosecutor, where he spent countless hours in the Courtroom handling a large caseload consisting of misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony cases for four years. After spending the next two years at a large local criminal defense firm and a civil litigation firm, he returned to prosecution at the Major Crimes Bureau of the Pinal County Attorney’s Office and Arizona Attorney General’s Office.

Most recently, Sean was a senior attorney for one of the largest criminal defense firms in the state, handling primarily their most serious felony cases including first degree murder, sex crimes, drug sale/wire taps, and complex white-collar crimes. He fought tirelessly earning dismissals, favorable plea offers, lenient sentences, and full jury trial acquittals for his clients.

Over the course of his career Sean has defended and prosecuted virtually every criminal offense our justice system has to offer. Over almost two decades Sean built a reputation as an aggressive advocate who gets results. Most lawyers in Arizona do everything in their power to avoid the courtroom. The courtroom is where Sean excels – whether it’s arguing to get you released from custody, suppress evidence, or asserting your innocence to a jury, he is the person you want fighting for you when your freedom and rights are at stake.
