ARS 13-1902 Robbery
ARS 13-1904 Armed Robbery

In Arizona, robbery is essentially a theft, but with the added element of the use or threat of force to take the property directly from a person.  Robbery is a class 4 felony, and it is very common because of the nature of the offense for the alleged victims of these crimes to push prosecutors and judges hard for prison or jail sentences.

If a robbery is committed with a weapon, or even a simulated weapon, it becomes armed robbery, which drastically ups the ante in terms of potential consequences.  It is a class 2 felony, and is often charged as a dangerous offense (ARS 13-704).  In that case, any defendant is facing a lengthy mandatory prison sentence if convicted.  Because of this, plea offers in these cases are often harsh.

Because these charges can have complex defenses, and the stakes are incredibly high if convicted, you need an attorney with the skill and experience necessary to attack any legal or factual issues within the case.  The lawyers at BC Law Group have the tools to fight for you, and the track record of success you deserve.  If you’re facing these charges, call for a free consultation to see how we can protect you.
